I’m sorry that I had to leave you so suddenly. I’m sitting here in this jail cell waiting for transport to prison. I haven’t reached out to Victor for help because I know he’s still mad at me. I’m sorry that he chose the easy way out and included you in this argument. Victor is a smart man, and eventually he will realize that you are a good girl who was falsely accused. One day he may realize what he has a right to be mad at me for. All I can say on that accord is that I am thankful for the security of the four walls of the maximum security prison that I will be going to.

I’m so sorry that I ever brought you into this whole life. I should’ve never asked such a big favor from you. At the time it guaranteed that I would see Samira and I hoped she would let me back in her heart. I never thought of you falling for Victor, or Victor letting a little girl in. That was an unintended consequence of my actions. If Victor hasn’t come around yet I can see you running out of money faster than I would want you to. I will find a way to get you what you need. Meanwhile I need you to do better than this life. I need you to go back and get your high school equivalency. Make sure my nephews graduate from high school, don’t let them hustle Dalenna. Instill something better in them. It may be too late for all the rest, but at least your boys could be the start of something better for the Cardell name. Just remember that even though it may not seem like it right now, Victor loves you very much. Put your foot down with him and no matter what standup for yourself. He will try to act like he doesn’t like it. But he will want you more for doing it. When you can write me back. Send me pictures of my nephews.
